About this event

Share Our Table Gatherings (we're in person and at the farm...yay!)

A day to celebrate life with a farm to table lunch, Compassionate Care session and time to be with the animals. Yes, we are hoping we will get to hold baby goats.

These gatherings help to restore a sense of belonging and connection in ourselves and our communities. And it's lots of fun! Join us for an afternoon filled with amazing local food grown and prepared at Gartur Stitch Farm (approx 25 min drive west of Stirling). Your ticket purchase helps Compassionate Accompaniment CIC to continue offering our free services for grief support and end of life accompaniment. Thank you! Find out more about our services.

This informal gathering is a celebration of life. A time to sit together at a table to share food and conversation. We look at what and how we eat as part of caring for ourselves and the ways this contributes to our well being both individually and as a community. Research is continually looking at how eating together can have a positive effect on mental health and well being and social inclusion.

The amazing Kat of Gartur Stitch Farm will be preparing a farm to table buffet lunch. She can tell you all about the foods. If you have any dietary requirements please let us know. See sample menu below of what's available for the spring season...

Our farm to table lunch is followed by a 45 minute relaxation Compassionate Care session with Misty Hannah, MA, RSME/T. We will explore simple ways we can care for ourselves with compassion and kindness that help bring support and balance in our life.

After our relaxation and kindness workshop we will spend time with the animals on the farm. There are chickens, cows, ducks, goats, pigs, dogs, and cats. Each of them is very special to be with...Being with animals can remind us to be where we are, to live with presence, compassion and kindness to what we call other. They give us a sense of connection, can calm our whole being and nourish our spirit.
