things you may not have known about scotland, part 2

...its snowing. a lot.

I know that in many places, snow in February is expected, resented and the source of endless frustration. However, here, its an event. People slow down and take notice. Unlike so many places, one can't live inside all the time...from house to garage to car to indoor paring garage. Even if you drive here, you must encounter the elements in some way. E and I had a mile long walk in the snow to get home. I enjoyed it. E obviously inherited his genes from South Africa.

Some things aren't so different...kids still hope for snow days. Hot cocoa becomes the drink of choice. People can still be seen dressed inappropriately whilst walking outside. And everyone has something to say about the weather.
