Kits

I have only been talking about it for about a year, but an invitation to join Not on the High Street was the kick to motivate me to get my designs made up into kit form!

In reality, its not terribly viable for me to be making hats to sell. Even with help, they take up a lot of time and it can be difficult to then design new things when making 15 aviator hats a week.

The kits, however, have been great to pull together.  I have really focussed on pulling together quality kits - full of my favourite things - gorgeous eco-friendly British wools, lovely tools and re-editing patterns (with the help of Joanne) so that you get everything you need in one place to make a project.

If I am honest, I wasn't sure how things would sell - NOTHS has a very specific sort of image and I wasn't sure my work would fit, but so far so good! Sales have been steady, despite any advertising or feaures. I am looking to release a new line of knit and crochet designs and kits in the new year that will focus on home and personal accessories.

To celebrate the release of kits - I am giving away 2 make your own crochet brooch kits. They make great stoccking stuffers and include everything you need to make the pictured coursage, plus step by step photo instructions.  Just leave a comment and I will choose on Sunday the 9th of December. Entries can be from anywhere in the world. (And if you felt like tweeting or facebooking about it, thank you!!)
