An Excuse For Hot Chocolate

I have  a lot to say this week, but am lacking the brain power to say it. I want to tell you about my fears for becoming a stay at home mother at the end of the week.  I want to sing my love for the Milo baby vest (Ravelry Link) pattern and show and tell my new ability to knit cables.  I want to tempt you with delicious shots of scrumptious yarn that braved the snow in England to visit me in bonny Scotland. Oh and I was gonna do a tutorial on lined baby trousers.  Plus, I want to give you a peek into how we do things around here...

But the reality is that I am tired.  Really exhausted and the week ahead is full-on working, cooking, cleaning, toddler wrangling, doctors appointments kind of a week.  I can't even tell you how the new year seems to have fundamentally altered the state of affairs around here.  If last year was dark and quiet, this year is full of bright energy.  Good (on the whole) but full of so much change and manic activity, my brain cells seems to be suffering from severe jet lag and are lost somewhere in 2009.

However, in the midst of all of the things to DO, we managed to find just a bit of time to BE over the weekend. Whilst I knitted away, the boys braved the cold for a spot of snow man making.  Well, Kevin made the snow man and Ellis, like any good project manager, barked orders and pointed.

And the snow man is a very handsome devil, don't you think?  But lets face it when you are 2 (or 8 months pregnant and called out to inspect), its really just about the hot chocolate.

The caffeine/sugar combination was enough to give us a boost to go home and prepare for the week that lies ahead.

Or maybe not, I'll let you know.
