Whipped Moisturiser

One of the things that people often miss about using more commercial beauty products is the consistency of the creams and moisturisers. Without emollients and other thickeners, you are often left with quite oily consistencies.

This recipe uses wax (beeswax or soya wax for vegans) and emulsification to give it a nice thick, creamy consistency. I love this stuff and I keep a jar of it in my fridge to help with puffiness in the mornings.

Whipped Moisturiser

1 tbsp of beeswax

1/4 cup of jojoba oil (or olive oil if your

skin is very dry)

1⁄4 cup of water

3 capsules vitamin E oil (optional)

4 drops of essential oils (optional)

1. Add water, beeswax and jojoba oil to a pan and melt the wax.

2. Let it cool a bit and add the other ingredients.

3. As it cools and a layer of wax forms on the top, blend with a stick blender until whipped.

4. Store in fridge to extend shelf life.
