2020 Events Are Live

If you have followed me for any length of time, you will probably know that I am not a planner.  I did use to be.  Each and every next step was planned carefully and with precision-- whether it be  as small as where we were going out for dinner or as large as what my next career step would be.  I had lists and calendars and targets, all of those things stacked in notebooks that still sit on my bookshelf in the lounge.

I don't know exactly what happened, I suspect it has something to do with spending over half my life with the whirlwind Kevin Harrison and have become much more of a "fly by the seat of my pants" person. Things get done, but often at the last minute they can. Which is why it is slightly surprising that I am coming to you today with a link to our 2020 Event and Retreat Schedule. I know, I can't believe it either!

While we have a couple more dates for things to schedule in (watch this space for workshops on beekeeping, Ultimate BBQ workshops and more!!), but the classes Kevin and I are running, plus our retreats for the year, as all up on the website!! On the list you will see some old favourites like our super popular Everyday Sourdough and Cheesemaking day courses as well as our favourite Forage Your Own Pizza Supper Clubs. You will also find some new courses like our Home Dairy Day where we will focus on smallholders who are looking to take on a dairy animal and our Get Started Smallholding course for anyone who has ever dreamed about living off the land (I promise the whole day won't just be mucking out my barns - ha!!).

We also have added a few more retreats to the course if you fancy coming to stay for the weekend - Natural DyeingYarn Lovers and A Life in the Making.

You can see all of our events for next year here.

P.S. Our courses make great gifts! We are happy to post or email out gift vouchers for any of our workshops or retreats.  Just leave us a note at the checkout.

P.P.S. We are always happy to host workshops led by other teachers.  If you would like to run a workshop on a topic that fits in with Gartur's values around building a life in the making, get in touch!

P.P.P.S. As well as hosting our own retreats and day workshops at the farm, in 2019 we've hosted charities and community groups here for a variety of activities. We're in the process of creating our events diary for 2020, so we thought we'd give you an opportunity to book your own event.

You can hire our workshop for the day, with or without a selection of local food and drink, or add a fun activity from milking goats to making your own sourdough pizza.

Get in touch if you have an idea for your organisation, whether its the unique backdrop of the farm, or our regenerative farming expertise that you're after.
